About Seventh Church of Christ, Scientist NYC

Our History

The Seventh Church of Christ, Scientist NYC has been a vital part of the community for over 100 years. Initially, we were a small group of believers gathering in homes and visiting other Christian Science churches in New York City. Eventually, we established our own church to prayerfully support healing in the Morningside Heights / Columbia University neighborhood, making us a cornerstone of the Christian Science Church NYC community.

    Temporary Church Closure

    The Seventh Church of Christ, Scientist Reading Room will remain open T/W/Th from 3-6pm, however, due to hot weather (and our HVAC system being replaced), we will not have church services from now through July 6th. If you have questions,
